DJ Promatik is a highly versatile UK- Based DJ who commenced his career at the tender age of 14 spinning hip hop and rnb at the token neighborhood house party or family function. To date he has over 14 years expereince in the field. When nostalgia kicks in he is reminiscent of his 1st pair of decks; a set of Gemini's- the mean machine! the envy of the hood as he strutted accompanied by a small teenaged entourage with his 'Castle Beer crate full of 12 and 14 inch vinyls.

This very talented DJ has guest performed for music festivals worldwide; Ibiza, Monaco, Amsterdam, Miami, South Africa to name just a few. Based in London, he performs regularly and is considered by many to produce some of the 'wickedest' blends in the house music scene. He can also be found showcasing his craft on a number of widely listened to UK underground radio stations.

Promatik has worked with an impressive line up of producers and DJ's: Producer MADD Indian of Tampa, FL; DJ Dirty Kash, DJ Stepz of Kiss FM. He has also headlined for several special events hosted by Atlantic Records. Promatik's passion for the genre grew extensively in the late nineties as his taste for music in the Hip hop,Jazz, Reggae and RnB genre began to evolve; The evolution redirected his gaze from smooth Hip Hop and RnB to a Rich Soulful,Vocal multi-dimensional sound,capturing the 'true essence' of house music.

Promatik is never hesitatant to elude to his love for the rich rhythmn and culture of Africa and it's music. Fore run by his father a savvy Southern African businessman and music production executive it came as no suprise that Promatik would cleave to this art form. He credits both his father and the region of S.A as his primary source of inspiration. Promatik's other musical influences include; EPMD, Nas, Dr. Dre, Tribe Called Quest,Barry White, AL Green, Isley Brothers, The O-Jays, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley; Of House music fame; Dennis Ferrer, Marc Evans,Quintin Harris, Barbara Tucker,Copyright, Yass, Miguel Migs, Kerry Chandler,Todd Terry, Mr. V, DJ Spen, Blaize,Ralf Gum,ShurIKan,Louie Vega to name a few. His smooth, inviting style is often said to take listeners on an 'unpredictable musical journey' into the deep, soulful, vocal, house experience!
